mcal_event_add_attribute

Name

mcal_event_add_attribute — Add an attribute and value to the global event

Synopsis

bool mcal_event_add_attribute(MCALconnection, attribute, value);
int MCALconnection: An open MCAL connection
string attribute: The name of the attribute to add
string value: The value to assign to the attribute

Returns

Description

This function lets you add any piece of data that MCAL does not have in the standard specification to an event. It can be something that you keep for every event in your calendar, or a note about an individual event. Things that you might want to keep are lists of keywords, the location of an event, or permissions data for a group calendar.

Version

PHP 3 since 3.0.15, PHP 4 since 4.0RC1

Example

Example 705. Adding an attribute to an event

$calendar = "{/mstore}<mycalendar>";
$MCALconnection = mcal_open($calendar, "username", "password");

// Add a "location" attribute to the event.
$attribute = "location";
$value = "Conference Room #1";
$result = mcal_event_add_attribute($MCALconnection, $attribute, $value);
