Alternate Page Option When Indexing

This upgrade to 1.8.5 got me to thinking about something that's been in the back of my mind for a while. You know how vBulletin puts up an alternate page when you're upgrading to a new version? I'd like to see a similar option for phpDig. Right now, because I'm in the process of upgrading to 1.8.5, I have an alternate page coming up instead of my search page, with the following message:

Quote:
Sorry, my website search engine is currently unavailable while a security hole is being repaired. Please try again later. I apologize for the inconvenience.
I'd like to see the option for putting up a similar message to this when we're upgrading, deleting and re-indexing the database or whatever.

Thanks in advance for giving this some consideration.
