utf-8 pages
Is there any way to configure phpdig to read pages in utf-8 instead of ISO ?
Because I have some problems with non-english characters. Thanks ! Diego.- |

Re: UTF-8
Hello,
I don't want to upset you, but, I remember reading in the installation document that PHPDig does not use multibyte encodings (utf-8 is multibyte)! However, it describes how to add a new encoding to PHPDig. You might want to look at it ... Regards ... |

I had tried to make it work with UFT8 pages and it wored out well! Besides there's no need to replace non-standard characters such accented characters. Using UTF8 pages, lets you write characters without having to escape them with HTML entities. Keep in mind you also have to use UFT8 fileds in MySQL (MySQL >= 4.1). Regards, Diego Juritz.- |
