indexing question
Hi,
PhpDig seems to be very good however, I'm either missing something simple or the documentation doesn't explain it well. When I try to index my site I open phpdigdir/admin/index.php...I type in my URI and all it does is index the index page. I can add each page one at a time but somehow I reckon a program of this caliber must allow multiple page indexing - what am i doing wrong?? :-) Andy |

Hi. Try choosing a larger search depth from the admin panel.

Hi,
Tried that but still no joy. I deleted all records from the dbs and tried again but it still only indexes the first page.......results below: SITE : http://www.mywebsite.org.au/ Exclude paths : - @NONE@ 1:http://www.mywebsite.org.au/ (time : 00:00:08) No link in temporary table ------------------------------------------- links found : 1 http://www.mywebsite.au/ Optimizing tables... Indexing complete ! ------------------------------------------- [Back] to admin interface. It is a php site with all pages using includes for the header and footer - could that be a problem? |

Hi. No, that doesn't sound like the problem, but it might help to see your site, or rather the HTML for the page.

Hi. Below is some output for http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/ with a search depth of one.
Try emptying all the tables and also deleting all the files in the text_content directory, except for keepalive.txt, and then try to index again. links found : 18 http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/ http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/elected/state.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/elected/federal.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/?subaction=showfull&id=1062407193&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1&&query= http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/?subaction=showfull&id=1069388726&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1&&query= http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/?subaction=showfull&id=1074119934&archive=&start_from=&ucat=1&&query= http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/news/pdf/EbulletinNo15NON-MEMBERS.pdf http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/news/pdf/Ebrief101.pdf http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/media.php?subaction=showfull&id=1072062720&archive=&start_from=&ucat=2& http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/nowar.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/images/pdf/WebCreditCardDonationForm.pdf http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/contact.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/about/about.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/elected/elected.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/policies/policies.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/join.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/index.php http://www.nsw.greens.org.au/issues.php Optimizing tables...
