Chron Job? Scheduling? How?

Hi,

I have been playing with phpDig--great program by the way--and have figured out most of the basics, but can't figure out how to schedule it to index regularly, automatically.

I've seen some reference to a "chron job" which might be something I could find out on the street at 3am, or possibly something that sets things chronologically to execute... but I have no idea how or what to do.

Can someone walk me through the steps to set one up for phpDig, baby steps style?

Thanks!

There is a tutorial here that might be of use, and there is a thread here that has some other tidbits.
