cmd line index error msg
Hi,
Maybe someone can answer for me this question, please? Running the /admin/spider.php from admin interface works very well. I have also SSH access for my site. When enter SSH and type in the command to run spider.php from SSH ... I get error msg saying "cannot connect db check connection script" I do not understand why this error msg when it runs from admin interface no issues and is same db and same connection script? Also, one other small question, please? I did read in documentation file about setting the cron files. I have CPanel and can set cron through there. Would setting cron from CPanel (like example below) curl http://domain.com/phpdig/admin/my_cron_file.txt run the spider to index the list of URLs contained in my_cron_file.txt ? Or would this need be curl http://domain.com/phpdig/admin/spider.php ??? |

Hi Charter, thanks for (1) and for (2)-> because this is how my host did tell me to execute php through the CPanel. He has SU Exec on the server, runs in safe mode, global variables off, and mod_rewrite runs as CGI module. He told me to run as curl -> domain.com/script.php when sending anything from CPanel for cron tab. ???

Oh, try it on the text file and see if it's a go.
