UTF-8 support
The title says it all...
Will utf-8 be ever managed by phpdig? I am managing html pages as well as word & pdf documents that use languages from all over europe. Therefore, I choose to encode my web pages using utf-8, in order not to have the additionnal hassle of changing between the various iso-8859 encodings. The current encodings managed by phpdig are fine for west european languages, but try it with bulgarian for example (cyrillic alphabet)... I guess that this is a two-headed problem: the external binaries (which are almost off-topic), and the phpdig engine itself. Any thoughts about that? Has anyone made a hack or a workaround? |
