Newb to PHP; install issues
Hey, I'm trying to install phpDig onto a directory of a campus website, specifically, for the Career Development Center's directory. I'm not adept at PHP, since this was sort of something thrust upon me by my supervisor, who was scared of PHP I guess. >.>
Anyways, it's been awhile since I walked around with web coding, but I think I've got all of the php changes in the config.php file set up properly. I loaded it onto our test server, and can get to the installation page, however, here is where I snag. The installation asks for the local host and for the port number and socks. The procedure for new content to the website is to first test it on our development web, then integrate it to the www site. I know the www site info, but I don't know this for the developer's web. What would be ideal for implementation for the devweb? |

Chances are that you don't need to enter anything for port and sock, so just fill in the other fields and see if it installs.
