PHP includes in Template?

Can we have any php code in the templates file. I suspect not since it is an XML file.

Our site is broken into several parts and assembled using php includes. I would like to see the template updated along with any content on the rest of the site.

Thanks

Hi. PHP cannot be in templates directly, but there are two methods for including PHP in templates via the PhpDig tags here.
