No, I'm not making fun of you. I ran into the same thing myself until I read the installation instructions and found out there are new tables for this version.
Run the sql code in update_db_to_1_8_1.sql and update_db_to_1_8_2.sql to create those tables, and you shouldn't have any other problems.
