Site search
Hello!
This is my first message so... Does anybody know how to make not a pagesearch, but a sitesearch? I mean that in results on word "milk" will be just one site even if 10 pages of this site have word "milk". Can it be easy moded? I checked it after indexing 5 sites, maybe it will be okay when database will have more data? I hope you got my idea. One more: if I'll write support for KOI8-R (russian) language in PhpDig, can I somehow index pages in both (koi8-r and windows-1251) codepages? P.S. Main idea of my post is to know: is it easy to use PhpDig for global Internet crawling (maybe in one TLD only, but in fact). Someone done it already? |
SSL/HTTPS
One more Q: is PhpDig supports https proto? In future it's planned?

Hi TiM, and welcome to PhpDig.net!
>> ...how to make not a pagesearch, but a sitesearch... In the config.php file change NUMBER_OF_RESULTS_PER_SITE to one. >> ...somehow index pages in both... PhpDig currently supports just one single-byte charset. >> ...use PhpDig for global Internet crawling... PhpDig can be used to make a smaller search engine. >> ...PhpDig supports https... PhpDig currently supports http but if enough demand https can be considered. |
a vote for https
I would surely benefit from HTTPS support...
